Please Please

If anyone has the Rx-v2700 service manual pdf I would appreciate it...big time.

My Yam has flash problems and its off for service but there is doubt over the warranty so I may end up having to Rework and Lift the flash TSOP.

Sorry to jump on someone else's post but google brought me to this forum, and now I've found it its a good chance I may hang about. 😉 Looks an interesting place. Thanks and Cheers

I have an older receiver model RX-V2700. After searching on the internet could not find many (if any) people modding Yamaha receivers. Would appreciate response from anyone that has done one. Also would really appreciate schematic if someone has one.
Best Bang for Buck only please and thank you.

I have modified the RX-V2400. Yamaha uses some very "dull" sounding opamps in this receiver. You will need a service manual for your receiver. Dont even think about trying any mods without it. There are 2 main boards, a DSP board with some opamps and a large analog input board with lots of opamps. All surface mount versions. So it will be a bit hard to desolder them and put new ones. But the effort is worth it.
It took me a few days and the receiver now sounds "crisp" and clear.

I did not have time to modify anything else. Yamaha's higher end recievers come with elaborate and clean power supplies. So I didnt modify them.

Opamps make a very large difference in sound quality and I am surprised that the engineers designing with these opamps dont realize there are good sounding opamps that cost the same.
