made, as the Tokin fab line had been damaged in the earthquake and was not
going to be rebuilt.

A shame, as they are superlative parts. I intend 20 channels only.

As I understand this, Tokin is now owned by NEC (NEC-TOKIN WEB SITE) and does not make SITs anymore. I believe this was true even before the earthquake happened.

2SK77B SIT in single-ended class A can sing 40 watts twice of 211 or 845 triode tubes.Great core

WOW! 2SJ27's are likely the rarest of all V-FET's.

Actually the rarest yamaha vfet is the 2sj25. This is notionally the complement of the 2sk75. Yes, it does exist, I have a couple.
Re 2sk77 to 2sj27 trade, I was serious. I have a number of them.
The rarest vfets are probably the hitachi ones, used in the only hitachi vfet amp, the HA500F. IIRC type 2sj30 and 2sk80.
