Xtant 604X / 2 ohm sub

I bought an Xtant 604X several years ago and have been running a 2 ohm Boston Pro 10" sub off the rear channel (bridged) the entire time. I recently had the unit back at Xtant for repairs and they told me the 604 was not able to handle the 2 ohm load. The installer that put my system together insists that this is fine and it can definitely handle it. Yet Xtant says not. Anyone care to provide some input on this subject?

For everyday driving levels you probably not pushing the amp to its max so it should be fine. Just don't demo it for too long at absolute max cause it may smoke.
