It can't be 0.12", can it?
Confirm that you're measuring it correctly by measuring something of known thickness or by comparing it to 1/8" in a ruler.
Did you zero the caliper?

Could this be the output filter you are describing? I have 3 1001dx's I'll look at to see if
if I can match your pic. What shape are the vent holes of your cover (square, octagon, etc.)? The original xtant was bought by Mitek, so they may not have any info on the original 1001 or my 1001dx's.
