Are you measuring a single strand or a bundle?

i could be way off was just going off what it looked like will get it apart and measure for the correct measurement do they go by mm when you order the wire?

0.12" is about 8.5g wire. Could it have been 0.012?

You stated that there were 2 different color wires and 10 terminals?

Is there a wire on each terminal?

Or do the wires go directly into the board?

wires go into the board and yes one wire per hole

the wire on this transformer is twice as thick as the wire in the other two round transformers green and red

It can't be 0.12", can it?

Confirm that you're measuring it correctly by measuring something of known thickness or by comparing it to 1/8" in a ruler.

Did you zero the caliper?

If you're sure that's the correct size, you can get it from ebay or the sources listed on the DVD on the Tech Tips 7 page, item #11.

well I will get it unwound and out of the board to get a better measurement, where do I get the green and red flux or whatever the film is around the wire, I have read about it in the tutitorial, will just go back and read it again

The wire comes coated. The color isn't really important. I'd suggest the high temp coatings but the solder strippable (lower temp rating) is easier to strip.

Could this be the output filter you are describing? I have 3 1001dx's I'll look at to see if
if I can match your pic. What shape are the vent holes of your cover (square, octagon, etc.)? The original xtant was bought by Mitek, so they may not have any info on the original 1001 or my 1001dx's.
