Does the new Tent XO2.2 clock come with a shunt regulator installed instead of a 7805 regulator?
I have the old tent clock and was thinking of installing a low noise regulator in place of the 7805 on the clock, as I have a spare +5V dexa regulator that I could use. Any worthwhile benefit to doing this? I guess I could just do it and see/hear.

the best way to check the difference is to give it a try and decide for yourself which sounds better to your ear. I personally hate 78xx or similar - I find them music killers.

Yes, this is about to happen. I will report back afterwards.
