Okay, I wanna get a GC on the case...
For 2 monobloks powered from one xformer, would this be okay:
120V 18V+18V @3.3A
or should I go for a higher VA rating - I've read diff recomended values over this and just wanna make sure....😉
Next up, i/o. Is it possible to have a few inputs and possible and aux out - or would a preamp be more suitable?

Meta, I first powered my GCs with a single 120VA transformer and they sounded great. I would say that using one transformer per channel gives a bigger soundstage so you could either go for two 80VA transformers now or add a second 120VA transformer later.
Where are you buying from? The Antrims from Maplin are one of the best torroidal transformers available in the UK.
You can build a preamp section to the GC, either in the same case of in a separate one. But what do you mean by an AUX out? If you mean output for some sort of recorder, then it should really be buffered.

I did ye, but it's not really needed. I would however like to to do a 12-step attenuator. I've seen this one frm another great site (frm a member on this forum i think):
The actual GC I was gonna will be based on the inverted one on ur site...
The only other thing, is a headphone socket would be nice - simple to add?
Could u gimme a few more pointers on how to do this or which pre to choose...

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Have you got a link for Rapid? - I've never heard of them and would like a look at what they do.
For the inverted GC I strongly recommend copying the attenuator design on my FAQ page. Apart from being designed specifically for the inverted GC, the signal will only pass through two resistors.
A headphone output usually has it's own amplifier but you can take a feed from the output of the amp and adjust the volume using some resistors. This has been covered somewhere on these forums so try a search.
A preamp section would consist of some phono sockets wired to a selector switch (rotary type using non-shorting contacts). That then feeds the volume control which passes the attenuated signal to the input section of the amp. Again refer to
the Preamp page of Decibel Dungeon for all the 'how tos' 😉
