X2.5 Pre for F1?

Any opinions, thoughts, caveats on paring an X2.5 preamp with an F1 amp? Driving Hornshoppe Horns. Classical/acoustic Americana input.

My current pre is a Mini Max, with which I'm pretty happy. But, there is an itch...
