Hi! Ive got a quite tricky problem with my X-Box. If it is connected to my TV it doesnt make any problems, but if I connect it to my DIY Beamer, there arent any colors(only black and white). I have completely no idea why this can happen. Ive tried several different Standards(PAL BGH-I and many others(Im from Germany), but it doesnt change anything. I use the Nview Spectra C. It is connected to the X-Box via a converter. The strange thing is that there wasnt a problem with the Playstation 2(I had one about 2 months ago).

Hey you're not alone. I have the EXACT same problem with a QA-1650. My ps2 hooked up fine as did the dvd player. But the xbox was in black and white. I have it hooked up through composite video. I tried using monster cable and the stock cable, no dice. Let me know if you figure anything out.
You could try getting your xbox modded to be region free....I know I had no problems with my 1500 and my xbox, and it's modded, originally NTSC, but it plays PAL just fine aswell.
Does anyone know what causes this Black and white problem with X-box's??? My OHP just arrived today and i'm in the market for a panel. Any tips apprectiated, connecting via S-video.
I've got almost the same problem with my nintendo 64, only it alternates very quickly between black+white and color.

Haha I have the same problem with my n64. althought I think in this case my n64 is just probably broken or something.
As for the xbox problem you guys are having. I think this may be one of those "Don't mix NTSC with PAL" kind of cases.
Maybe the xbox is PAL or NTSC...
And the LCD is NTSC or PAL...
See where I'm going with this?
