Incidentally, can I expand the number of inputs just by adding a selector switch of some kind with more poles?

Hi, I may have one in a few weeks, when I receive my new 4 way input selector from China.
So yes you can.
I also am using my current unit with a pair of NC250 power amps 7 they make a superb combination.
