Hello all. My wife just got posted to a job in Washington DC. Our home has been Laos for the last 3yrs but permanent home is the UK. We’ll be here 10-12months and not planning to freight any personal effects (have you seen prices and transit times for international freight at the moment?!!)
Any DIYA folks in DMV area with spare projects happy to give out a loaner for a period? I know y’all got 6 sets of speakers and 3 amp projects still sitting in your garage now you have upgraded or moved to a different topography! And you’ll get it back 🙂
Nothing fancy needed just wanting some of that DIY love. Source will be iPod or computer/phone streaming. So any small (integrated?) amp and speaker options would be very welcome.
I was thinking I could easily make some foamcore 0.53 Karlsonator to use PA130-8 (although they are currently on backorder at Parts-Express). I’ve made them for Faital Pro 3FE25 single and double driver versions - it’s a fun project. So would be looking for small integrated amp to suit.
I say borrow but also happy to buy. Prefer metro area if possible as I don’t have transport. We’re in Truxton Circle. Cheers!
