surely one of those maxon motors would work.

The 110189 Maxon motor was the one Manfred Huber originally picked for the Teres project and is not available from the seller I listed. I was just suggesting that maybe one that is listed could work and worth trying since they are inexpensive. Heck, as cheap as these motors are, why not buy several and try them out with a lab bench power supply. You can always upgrade to the better motor later.
Hey Bas, when you get that Bix crack open that motor pod and let us know what motor is in it. I have a feeling it's a Maxon RE series motor. It seems like several commercial turntables use the information from the original Teres project. Some use the motor controller board, others don't.
Naughty boy!...sure why not...folks that want to buy the motor seperatly aren't likely to buy a TT anyhow.Hey Bas, when you get that Bix crack open that motor pod and let us know what motor is in it.
But the Maxon is Swiss..the BIX's is Belgian.
Cheers,
Bas
