I'm not sure where I read some more about the LT3080 being based on
the MC1466.

Thanks Siggi. Because the rest of the circuit is based around the MC1566L, I was looking to just replace the IC. There are chips available from China and Hong Kong, so I may have to order one and hope it works when it arrives.
