As per the title, looking for a decent DHT preamp.

Let me know if you have anything interesting for sale, I'm pretty openminded here.

The only truly important thing tt needs to be a lower gain

Mosey over to the K&K Audio website (link below) and see what Kevin built using a 4P1L (or you can use a 26). I'm about 1/2 way through a build of this design using my own power supply. I bought some of the critical pieces from Kevin. Years ago, I built/used a simple RC coupled 26 linestage and the sound is really nice. It bested by 5687 linestage by a wide margin. This new transformer output design with a filament regulator should be a step up.
