I'm in UK and I use 26 for my input valve.
I prefer the old globe 26s, Cunningham/RCA type. One of these days I must do a blind test between those and the shoulder type but the globes look great.
I have a lot of ST 26s spare. Let me know if you're interested.

The 26 is notoriously microphonic, though actually I haven't had any problems with them. The ST types are probably less so but I can't be sure.
I can't do matching for you I'm afraid as I haven't yet built my tube tracer. It's at the back of a long list of projects :-(
Many of the valves have test results from the people I bought them from. Obviously I have no way to check the accuracy of those.

I'm surprised you can't find ebay sellers with 26 types ? Many of them are in the US ... This for example looks like a lovely old Globe Cunningham...

... is a seller I've bought from. The trick is to find a seller with a good number of valves, relatively low postage and willing to combine - then the postage doesn't outweigh the cost of the valves.
I also have the 01A which I would really like to try - it is half the anode current of the 26 but is reputed to sound even better.
If I were you I'd take a look on ebay, but if you still want some of my ST types then PM me your address.
