I saw that too. Looks like a small chamber in the middle but the reflector is probably a parabolic. Wait, i take it back. Should be elliptical because a runway light will be set to spread a narrow cone around the AOA of the incoming planes. ~13 with +/- ~8 degrees. It will probably be incandescent because they are slowly strobed up the runway. Cant do that with MH!

I'm not sure what kind of light it is but it looked kinda cool to play around with. Even if i could just use the reflector to "spot beam" the light into the lcd.
