I saw that too. Looks like a small chamber in the middle but the reflector is probably a parabolic. Wait, i take it back. Should be elliptical because a runway light will be set to spread a narrow cone around the AOA of the incoming planes. ~13 with +/- ~8 degrees. It will probably be incandescent because they are slowly strobed up the runway. Cant do that with MH!

According to G.E. that is a Par 64 sealed beam. You won't take it apart without breaking it.corryn00 said:Even if i could just use the reflector to "spot beam" the light into the lcd.
