looking for a loud toy - a 0.56 scale Cerwin Vega EL36 would be about 3.1-3.2 cubic feet in overall bulk and manageable in size at 20x20x13.5 inches

was just wondering how that particular geometry rather than mass rolloff and mouth directivity affect response. I'm guessing it probably would rattle up to 600 and response might look like a cross between end driven and offset driver models
thanks - I've not looked at Centauri's pages for a long time. That approach should be good for home midbass.

Why fold it if you want it to go up that high, do you intentionally want it to be narrow dispersion? Getting down to 100hz with authority doesn't require a long path length.
I've got Bruce Edgar's original straight horns somewhere in my mess (see pic below) - roughly F10 around 100Hz - just looking for a horn toy which can be carried outdoors. It's too late in life to start a whole new horn system and if wasm't, might go with Inlow's horns - just wondering about components and piddling. My RCA-Fan folded horn is decent, same with a scaled Classic - Ray Newman's 2-12 horn isn't terrible imo. I've 3 K-horns, 2-FH1, and a pile of Karlson, some which I prefer in ways to the horns.

I'm looking for something similar beetween subwoofers and JBL 2380A horns. I don't want to cut them too low, 500Hz absolutely minimum.. better somewhere beetween 600-700Hz. What I need is kick bass/low midrange horn beetween 90-600Hz.
Klipsch lascala -style horn (well braced!) seems to be a good option I think. Should be good down to midbass and may work well with horn extensions too!

- would a C-fold (mini EL36) make it to 600Hz or better xover point ?
