I have a celestion s1i subwoofer with a 10 inch driver that sounds like a horse farting. I had a look to see what some b200 kef drivers would sound like on it, and the kef sounds pretty fast but not very deep or loud .
It's an active subwoofer with phase and cut off control with 70 W of power. the circuit board looks fairly decent with about 50 resistors and capacitors and electronic bits.
I'm going to upgrade to more audiofile powerful sub anyway, is it worth upgrading the celestion to a good 10" driver ? What kind of driver should I look for in UK/Europe? Cheers!

High Xmax(and Sd), Low FS, high power
This will probably mean low sensitivity especially if the VAS is small, but the high power bit will take care of that. High Xmax(and Sd) and Low Fs will be your most important factors for LF performance

I believe you can get a 10" version of the XLS in your country, it would be a good choice. Power is a bit lacking, 240w is more like it, but getting the driver is a step
