World's first soundbar?

I stumbled upon this Sanyo msp-5 sound bar that some say it's made in 1981 and believe it or not it works and sound pretty cool for its format.I sent wikipedia this information too as they pretended Altec Lansing was the first to release a soundbar in 1998.They'll probably tell if I'm right or not .If that's not a 2.1 , battery (rechargeable) opperated independent of the signal source soundbar I don't know what is...I dont't have the external power source and I have no ideea if it has charging capabilities.

Although it is inovative and impressive technology for the age, it is not a soundbar - by definition.

I believe that it was meant to be paired to a walkman-style tape device. The size is just right for this purpose, and batteries are required to make it portable.

It's actually using an IC able to amplify tapeheads levels straight to 1 watt speaker output , but I tested with my smarphone headpones output and it's outputing just the right level with it as a source.

Put it for sale in a local shop yesterday ...If I get 50 bucks I'm ok with it 🙂 I 'm not having a collector mindset.
