The Rangers are 1 win away from bringing home the Commissioner's Trophy to Texas for the first time ever! Tough break for Pujols, who'll have to watch Napoli awarded MVP. Albert's truly was the most amazing post-season hitting since Reggie. He's a legend and a shoo-in for HoF; he'll get over it. Go Rangers!

So far most of the games look like the first week of spring training (and that included the home plate umpires).
Fielders missing slow rolling grounders, missing underhand tosses and running the wrong direction.
Some of the base running (or slow jogging) is just as bad).
And Fox TV coverage sucks compared to TBS.

this has been the hardest series for me. i lived in keller tx 4 some years. spent lots of summer nights at the ball park in arlington...heck first time getting to 2cnd base was in the nose bleeds.
but i never could stop loving my cards......go red birds!
and rangers!

It's had its share of bad calls and sub-par play, but overall it's been pretty good IMO. Tim McCarver is the best color commentator in baseball by far. If the Cards should happen to win, I can be happy for New Braunfels native Lance Berkman. He couldn't quite get there with the Astros.

The weather has impacted several of the play-off games (and may again tonight), with conditions more suitable for football (both US & World). Some of the indoor games were impacted by sun glare! With the late Fall sun coming in at a low angle and reflecting back onto the field.

It would be good (at least here in the Great North) if baseball started no sooner than May 1st and ended no later than September 30th...April and October just aren't reliable baseball weather in outdoor stadiums north of the 40th parallel and baseball just isn't baseball indoors. As for the Series, I lost considerable interest on October 16th when the beloved Tigers were eliminated by the Rangers in the ALCS - but the Cards have been there too many times so...Go Rangers!

Absolutely. I had actually lost interest in baseball for several years, (games take too long, players "step out" and practice swings for an eternity before returning, etc.), but when I saw on the internet that in the 6th game the Cardinals had the tying runs on second and third with one man out in extra innings, I had to go run and turn on the TV.

After Berkman's home run, I had to watch the last game, and I'm glad I did. It really was a Series people will be talking about for years to come.
