I am finding that the answers are very often a “common” word, so maybe I need to try harder to stop making guesses with ones that I rarely hear people use in conversation. Just because I see them in books does not mean that they are good Wordle inputs!

Yes, like others, I often go for a word that is more obscure than it needs to be. Sometimes the common word works just as well.
