Wordle

While you're dealing with that, I am wondering how bmwman91 managed his guess #3. How is that even possible?

I now believe that you actually find the color-rectangles for his guess number FOUR to be surprising / impossible. Y G G G G

And I agree with you completely. The only possibilities which could have displayed those colors are UUEST , EUEST , SUEST , and TUEST but none of those are in the Wordle dictionary; none of them are allowable guesses. It is a mystery.

I am sorry to contradict you Mark. None of those are possible. Wordle does not recognize a letter as yellow if that same letter has already been recognized unless there is more than one of that letter.
See the problem here? I am thinking our friend has pulled a fast one on us and is going to come clean in due time.
Otherwise there is a glitch in the matrix.
Please explain otherwise.

Although mildly interesting, I'm not intrigued enough to pursue the mystery any further. Except perhaps to mention that each of the four internet browsers I use, displays the Wordle colored blocks in this thread, differently. So that may or may not be a complicating / confounding variable. Here, as an example, is what I see using the Brave internet browser, Version 1.47.186

Okay Mark, I will simplify my confusion with a question.
How is it possible the bmw has 4 of 4 in the correct position and the 5th is a correct letter but in the wrong location when there is only that location for it to go?
The board is telling us that the yellow is a duplicate of one of the other 4, but that's not how it will show. It will only show the proper letter once, in this case it's green. It will ignore the duplicate as there is no second of the same letter. IOW, it only indicates it once.

So again, how is that possible? I would love to see his answer 'cause there's some funny bidness goin' on here.
Haha, well that is embarrassing. The answer to this one is super simple. Posting from the tiny screen on my phone while having a conversation with my wife meant a typo made it past my eyeballs!
