I' ve got a lighted SPST switch I'm going to use on a microphone preamp I'm building. The switch has a built-in neon lamp. I'm confused because there's 3 terminals coming out the bottom of the switch. When I connect a DMM to terminals 1-2, I get continuity when the switch is on. Across terminals 1-3, or 2-3, there is no change when I flip the switch to either position.
I am attaching the datasheet for the switch. This will be the switch that energizes the power torroid, so it will be connected directly to mains. I don't want to make a stupid mistake.
Can anyone advise how to wire this correctly? I am attaching both the datasheet for the switch, as well as a crude layout/wiring diagram of the power supply. The "front panel switch" at the bottom of the diagram is the neon lighted switch in question.

After more research, I ran across a post on another forum that suggested something like this. I did not indicate the neon lamp between terminals 2-3, but they are indicated on the datasheet. What do you think?

Only one switch has the neon in the PDF the CRE22F2BBRLE
this is wired 1 to Live, 2 to torroid 3 to neutral, so the light comes on when the power is switched on, if you swap 1 and 2 the neon will stay on all the time... 😀
your wiring is correct, don't forget to sleeve the contacts for safety 😱

Would you see a problem using .25" crimp connectors with insulation on them, or is using crimp contacts a bad idea?

I use 1/4" insulated crimps where the switch has them 😉 reliable and safe when the top is off the equipment. 😀
