Wiring 4 speaker elements to a MaxAmp20

Hello Y'all.

I'm making a small portable boombox project, mostly just to get some hands on experience with building my own audio equipment. I'm using a MaxAmp20 as my amp, and I have 4 speaker elements, 2 on the "front" and 2 on the "back". (Think in the same way as the boominator). My question is, what would be the correct way to connect the elements? I see 3 scenarios.

1) Series connection on both sides, so that the "right" elements are connected in series, and the "left" side elements are connected in series.

2) Parallel connection both sides, so I'll have a "right" side and a "left" side. (Basically like above, but parallel instead of series)

3) Parallel connection, but connecting the right element on the "front" with the right element on the "left". I feel that this might provide the most "true" sounding audio no matter where the listener is, but would probably also be hardest way of doing things.

I've attached some wiring diagrams if that didn't make any sense. And yes, I realize they're not entirely consistent in what's positive/negative, but I hope you get the basic gist of things!

Thank you for you help 🙂

all parallel in my books.
the only thing that looks different would be polarities (but that's impossible to determine without identifying what's what)

fig 1 if spk 2 and spk 4 are reversed polarity than the box as a whole would be a dipole(? assuming no baffles or dividers are separating the drivers within the box)
