When I built my solid state amp kit the "fashion" was to pull apart CAT-5 cable and use the solid copper/PVC insulation wires.
Last night I was reading a book which said multi-strand teflon insulated is the go.
I see well regarded tube preamp kits offering single strand enameled copper wire.
I'm about to wire my latest KT88 PPP amp - what should I use
a) for heater wiring
b) for high voltage wiring
c) for signal chain wiring
d) for the ground buss
Any opinion gratefully recieved - facts would be even better.
Cheers,
Ian

Teflon Wire
I've been selling Teflon Wire to amp bulider's for quite
some time. It handles 200 degrees C - 500 + Degrees F
and standard wall will handle 600 Volts, there is also a
EE Type which is a heavy wall which will handle 1000Volts.
Most of what I stock is standard Mil-Spec M16878/4
which is the 600Volt and works very well with tube amps.
But also stock the heavy wall, lots in 20 AWG

Re: Clarification
I heard soaking it in the toilet (a well-used one works best) does wonders for the sound. Seriously!
