Sorry if this has been asked before. The search terms were too generic to be of much use.
Is there a recommended type of wire for transfering a spdif signal from one pcb to another? Both boards are in the same chassis, but will likely have a few inches between them.
I generally use TCSS for internal wiring, but I have tried to use it as a digital cable and the sound was terrible. Will it be okay on a short run, or is there a better solution?

Well, it depends.........
Is it a true SPDIF signal, IOW, is it a 75 ohm system???? No reason why for something internal that you can't make it something slightly different..........like say the right impedance to drive ribbon cable.
