As far as I know the only way to get to the Widows 'Recording Control' mixer panel is to open 'Volume Control', open Options/Properties, and select 'Recording' checkbox, and click 'Ok'.
Is there an easier way to get straight to the 'Recording Control' window, or is there replacement software that will display all recording and play mixer channels in the one window/app ?.
Thanks,

You’re right, there are no command-line options for sndvol32.exe.
This means you can't access the Recording Control without the previous steps.
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

This sneaky device poses a great danger to diyer's when their widows discover it. They use it to record you saying things like "Yes, dear, I'll do that in just a minute, or "Yes, dear, I'll paint the house on the wekend instead of building my new loudspeakers", and then use it on you when they want to go shopping or generally get their own way. What is needed is is a remote shutdown for this undesirable OS bug.Originally posted (verbatim) by mrfeedback
Widows 'Recording Control'

It's Not A Bug, It's A Feature.....
I thought all women had one inbuilt already.
And much more features too, like Time and Date stamp, Location, What you were wearing, and How many times you have said this before.
I have always been curious as to whether this is a native, or installed prgram of the female OS.
Eric.

I found and tried "Audio Sliders" and this looks to provide the display and direct control access that I want, however as soon as I take the mouse pointer away it rolls up again.
Is there a way to inhibit this roll-up feature ?.

Looks like you'll have to wait for the next release. There should be an option for always-on-top and disable the auto-roll-up.mrfeedback said:I found and tried "Audio Sliders" and this looks to provide the display and direct control access that I want, however as soon as I take the mouse pointer away it rolls up again.

something has hit me in the head...
Eric,
Just go through those steps until you get to the recording control mixer panel.
Then...
Minimize the window.
😱
When you need it, it's always minimized and ready to rock.
No other way...
It's Microsoft.

One problem Solved...
Thanks guys, I have found how to inhibit the roll-up.
However I cannot get the level meters to work, and this is important to me.

How did you fix that roll-up?

Right-click on the 'Peakmeter' and then left-click on 'Peakmater Enabled'.mrfeedback said:Thanks guys, I have found how to inhibit the roll-up.
