I have just downloaded Windows 8 and Visual studio 11.
I had a go at writing a Metro App.
I first tried to make a launcher program for lanching other programs.
Sadly microsoft have removed the process command so I cant launch other programs !
I then tried to read/write from hard disc and Metro doesnt allow it !
Without reading/writing to disc Metro is pretty useless.
I can see why MS have done this, to work in a snadbox on phones. But why have the put a phone OS on a PC ?

I dug deeper and you can read/write to hard disc but only certain locations like the documents folder.
