Yes your computer installation is somehow incompatible..updates etc missing.
'update history' is clean no failed attempts.
"somehow incompatible" requires windoze to look at my setup and report back to the central scrutinizer. I don't see that happening here. anyway well wait n see when you guys report about all the goodness Im missing.

If you have reserved your copy and you have the icon in the task bar it has already looked at your system. Click the icon and look at compatibility.

Thx I found it
"that report" no problems found >last report was yesterday 8/3 "good to know Im still in the running, Compatibility report for Windows 10: FAQ - Windows Help
IMO differences between OS 10 in the article don't look compelling ( no killer apps ) unlike apples OS presentations

The roll out is phased by hardware compatibility, if you have any piece of hardware that it is unsure about driver wise it wont offer you the update. For example if you built your own pc with a bunch of obscure hardware you may be waiting a while, vs a bog standard box from Dell or HP with known WHQL drivers will get the update almost immediately.
I just skipped the wait and updated a few machines manually and all worked perfectly so it seems to me that Microsoft is being overly cautious.

source? The roll out is phased by hardware compatibility,...
so according to you I should rolling happily along with w10 alreadybog standard HP box with SSD here (Intel driver )
FWIW I was offered the update straight away on an Asus laptop with SSD.
Still haven't downloaded yet, but might do on the 6th, as the ISP will be changed then.

Free "upgrade" ! to what ?
I've stopped being amazed at what some people will do/allow just because it's free ! You really need to wait & check out ALL the negatives FIRST !
Just a few www's with info about it. Plenty more out there !

This comment should not come from a US person.....
me, what comment specifically?
either do the deep dive into security or post such web sites
that's why my first comment said "trust" either you do or don't, then install other OS.
personally I don't trust ISPs more than MS

OK....OK,
remember cyber dyne systems..remember there is a war on you know..😀
Remember this is W10 the last one..😱
and if you don't get it for free and grasp the nettle then you will be swinging in the wind..Win 7 is only supported to 2017...😀
Well that's my theory anyway..😉

well MS wants fast adoption so they create a demand based on "limited time offer".
how will they know when / if your system crashes and you need to DL another authentic version, > answer they wont .
they will have to find some other revenue stream, what that is, is going to be the only surprise.
My theory > MS knows they will lose market share to all those Iphone users migrating over to that ecosystem.

You reckon !
This might be the last OS branded Windows but that doesn't rule out something down the line being called something else. Windows Pane (or Pain 😉)
that one was already used... back in the day Steve Jobs used it dream up the PC before it was one.WindowPane

Steve Jobs licenced the basics of Mac OS from Xerox.
WindowPane was a kind of LSD long before PCs came into existance.
dave
when Apple was started they didn't license anything, he even "borrowed" the name from Apple Records. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=%22acid+with+steve+jobs%22
What has that got to do with anything?
The original LISA OS was based on the Xerox PARC/OS and there was an agreement between Xerox & Apple. The Mac OS was based on the LISA OS.
