If you believe this damage scenario is possible, then fit protection at the input of the receiver.
i mean if i turn the volume up all the way on the computer and the volumes on the preamp will it kill the tda7294 from too much volume
It would likely be a little quieter and more stable if the input resistors were 10 times lower. 10K vs 100K pot and 4K7 vs 47K on the '+' input of the opamp.
BTW the gain is 5.7 or 15.1 dB

i built the preamp and it makes a loud screeching noise it sounds like its oscillating but i put a 0.1 and 10uf next the + and - if i disconnect the pot the noise stops but if i attach an ipod it makes the same screeching noise it made it just like my circuit but i used 22uf cap and not 100uf. the power supply i used was a computer psu yellow wire for +12v black for ground and Blue for -12v
