Hard to tell, but they look similar, other than the extra holes. Could the bottom ones be trimmed? Or does it not matter as long as the 4 can fit?
The reason I ask is because I can get 10 of the 6 pin for $0.99 🙂

Well its been known to be done, but not gracefully.
Bending the two center pins will let then be stuffed into the rectangular opening.
If your just trying to reuse some old keyboard cables, Mac ADB's are a perfect fit.

The contact holes are basically the same, so you could put a 4-pin male cable into a 6-pin female receptactle, except for one problem. There is also a plastic alignment pin that is the wrong position. You would have to break this off the cable to insert it into the 6-pin receptacle.
The 6-pins are cheap because they are used for computer mice. Go ahead and spend the extra $1 and get the right connector.

Well I got the 10 for a $1. S-Video receptacles other than bulkhead adaptors are hard to find cheap, especially this cheap. I'll see what I can do with these. Plus like mentioned above I could roll my own with these.

Back from the dead.
Just to conclude, I removed the tab on the S-Video cables and they fit perfectly, they even stay snug in there.
Conventional? Probably not. Good for me? You bet.
