been a while since visiting 6moons - this caught my eye
Oswalds Mill Audio - Ironic | OMA Loudspeakers
"ironic" strikes me as quite appropriate

Hi, Ludicrously overpriced nonsense, rgds, sreten.
Note it only has the tooling cost of the 3D file and "development".
They will make money on every single one moreorless made.

Speechless on this one. All the mumbo-jumbo about the cast-iron pipes (!), and not a word about a loudspeaker with a set of calliope pipes in front of it.
It's art that makes sound- certainly not something I'd go for but in the right home it might be just the ticket- where aesthetic supersedes acoustic. Not everyone aligns their priorities the way we do- we see an extreme version of this mindset over at the parts express forum- any expensive commercial effort is viewed by some members as an absurd ripoff. Sometimes true, but it's okay to have a cool looking speaker that's not particularly high performance, if meaningful performance isn't a priority and visual impact is. Remember that most people listen more with their eyes and wallet than ears, when it comes to loudspeakers, anyway.
Back in around 1978 The Absolute Sound had one on it's cover almost as wild. I think it was a stack of 2 woofer boxes topped with perhaps a 7 way horn system. Looked like something a 4 year old had constructed with building blocks!
they should rename their company from OMA to OMG 🙂
would love to hear it, being a bit sceptical about it, but the looks are definitely exotic! 🙂
