i am looking to build a speaker that can have a good bass and also goes way to the top.
my criteria will be:
1. simple designs, simple crossover.
2. not so many drivers, maybe 3 or 4.
3. under $1000 budget.
after looking for some time, i came up with these options:
1. mid using jordan jx92s in closed box.
2. scan 9500 tweeter, (because the ribbons are too expensive)😉
3. for the woofer will be a single jordan jx150 or a pair of jx150 or maybe scan 10 inch woofers in a sealed box! because i wanted the bass to be tight and focused. i was wondering if i can cross the jx150 or the 21w8565 with a 1st order xover at 150-200 hz (because the jx92s f3 at about 80 hz or so)
so what do you think, especially dave with his advance experience in building loudspeakers and with jordans drivers
