I always assumed diyaudio.com and diymobileaudio.com were related. Is diymobileaudio.com it's own independent being?
I'm considering a Car Audio build, but don't want to deal with duplicate posts.

It looks like it isn't connected to DIYAudio.com and corporate owned:

Unrelated.
We had many moons ago both a thriving DIY car audio section and a DIY video section back when DIY projectors with fresnel lenses were groundbreaking DIY.
Over the years the DIY video stuff died down and was removed from the nav, as consumer video became superior to anything that could be done DIY.
The car audio section didn't quite fit with the rest of the site so it was removed for a while from the main nav, but it lives on and does have a link in the current nav, and thrives mainly thanks to the mighty stewardship of @Perry Babin.

Jason, are you the same Jason who owns the RC forums, amongst others?
I remember making an animated giff in form of a moving sub cone back in the mid 90s for a DIY car audio site, wonder if was them

No, I'm not. But my first audiophile journey was cutting holes in the doors of my Chrysler Charger to fit some speakers in there and annoying the staff at Carlton AV listening to CJ Boland Electronic Highway on repeat trying to find the right drivers. So I have always had a soft spot for car audio!
Cool, same with my boy racer Hyundai souped up to the max by the boys at HVE and audio pestered out school mate who owns Doran Pro Audio. Walking in with my Greensleeves samplers and trying to see which subs and amps dont come apart
Through the 2000s I too played a little forum role by founding the now defunct TheFishingSite forum and Australian Land Based Anglers Association forum and their attached inc clubs

I've yet to see a Voxativ car audio build.
Where are you planning to locate the drivers?

Either footwell or A-pillars via Pods. I've yet to demo Voxativ and I've yet to contact the Pod maker if Voxativ possible. But both manufactured in Germany, so maybe.

- Why is there a Car Audio section? Is diymobileaudio.com a sister site or is it independent?
