My mailbox icon has turned red but I cannot figure out why. I started to see this on and off in the past few days. I have deleted all but the last 20 conversations.
I've not come across this but wonder if some standard account limit has been exceeded somewhere. Have you suddenly tried messaging a few recipients all at once for example. Can you pin it down to anything you have recently done 🙂
And I'll ask back here as well.

I don't do anything fancy with messages. Just one person at a time per message thread and only a couple lately.
I'll try logging off and then back on again (IT Crowd inspired, of course).

Hahaha, that actually fixed the problem. Some things never change. Icon is now white as usual.
I might have been amassing too many messages. But after I deleted about 60 of them the icon remained red until the log out/in.

Fail safe recovery on a Windows based device. If only Mr. Gates could pay me a $ each time I had to restart a Windows computer in my lifetime I would be on the Virgin Islands with Richard Branson now.I'll try logging off and then back on again (IT Crowd inspired, of course).
For clarification, I did not log in/out of the computer and OS, only from this forum. That immediately fixed the problem.
Aha, allow me to guess again (lol) Some updates are made dynamically on a page, so it isn't actually reloaded as often as before, and some things are not designed to work without a reload.
EG: This was the essence of an earlier bug/adjustment where links were not showing that they had been visited, until the page was refreshed.
