Now i know most people love to hate on Monster Cable and for good reason... However when it comes to getting decent cables cheap, Goodwill gets quite a few of these in. I have picked up 3 sets now, a 6 foot set that retails for $35 I got for $3.99. I used them to repair an old Sanyo direct drive turn table with the built in RCA's. The monster cables are very easy to take apart and the wire strips easy.
The sound is of butterscotch and fine brandy with a hint of vanilla overtones 😉
I also picked up Denon CD/DVD player a couple weeks ago for $12.99, it's supposed to have the good DA converters in it and it does sound better than my late 80's JVC it replaced.
The really high end stuff never seems to make it to Goodwill, or it's snatched up before it makes it to the floor. However I find plenty of good Mid-Fi stuff, I sure seem to have better luck at Goodwill than I do at garage sales or Craigslist.
