Also,
Another Japanese magazine of the same kind of quality that I have seen is called "Analog". Not sure if it is still in production, don't really know the history at all. But it appeared to have the same kind of quality as MJ and was all about turntables.
Regards,
Danny

MJ is the oldest still existing radio magazine in the world.
The 1st post of this thread pictures the Januari 2009 edition of MJ magazine, No1031, if you divide 1031 by 12 issues a year it follows at which date No1 of the mag was published.
MJ is an institute, you may not be able to read it without exercise but it can be yours for a $300/12 annual membership.
[well, for those close to La Francea anyways]
This company was 1924 the editor:

some pics from the first issues wanted (first japan AM radios and loudspeakers).
Hmmmm, will have to take a look -- there's a Japanese book and magazine store near Rockefeller Ctr.
I think, one example I have found:This company was 1924 the editor:

Correct.
The former chief editor of NRDS likely doesn't have issues with reading Hiragana.

Not maybe.
Eijiro Koizumi is the founding "man from Onken" loudspeaker company, he wrote articles for various magazines in Japan, one was MJ .
Mr Hiraga was the main drive for the global distribution of the Onken drivers.
(amusing bit, Eijiro means something like Englishman
