My point is that a very good English (also with a good diction, this is important) in the today world gives a boost to personal opportunities that is not easy to understand. Your market istantly becomes the world.
You can find a place in Vancouver as in Singapore as in Cape Town or Moscow (yes ... even Moscow).
There is here an Italian manager that, amazingly, speaks a decent English.
He is very uncompetent ... and still everybody respect him more than other more technically competent managers but with a shaky English.
This is of course a multicultural context ... that in the ends means English.
