I saw that most phono tube preamplifiers are posted in the Tube/valve amplifier section when they actually belong more to Analogue source, but from what I saw the analogue source is usually deemed to cover solid state preamps or hybrid aproaches at most.
Could it be a very clean choice of Tube preamplifiers section?

You may have a point. Still I suspect valve enthusiasts know the best place to go to find the unique kind of expertise they want. Would some maybe see it as just splitting that forum making it less convenient?
Instruments and Amps having its own forum is a different story of course.

If I have a hybrid approach I might still choose a tube preamplifier section if it exists because people in that section are usually very educated and have high hopes which hibryd aproaches usually aim at trying to fix, but I simply can't post a hybrid preamplifier in the Tube amplifier section because it looks awkward, power amps are power amps...
I love to look at photos of tube gear, , it inspires me to construct better tube gear.
I've also noticed that the (strictly tube) preamps are scattered all over. Unfortunate but that's how it is. I tend to find what I'm looking for in "Analog source" more often than the tube section.
I think another thing is that there are not that many people building strictly tube preamps anymore, and the ones that do are usually posting about a kit they're struggling with, not one of their own designs.

I just looked out of curiosity where all my threads with hybrid phono preamps are and they are all in Analogue Source section...They used D3A tubes while the guys interested in tube based preamps go ask and / or look in the tube area mostly because the analogue source section us very crowded with other things.
Google wnd the search section csn easily sort it out evrn if I'd posted at the Lounge section , I was just thinking of a clear way of separating interests.

I agree, there’s a bit of a split, with some threads in the tubes forum and others in the source section. I have two active tube preamp projects (I’m finding tube preamps to be a lot more expensive than I expected when it comes ro parts and materials) that may garner some interest if I started threads on them, I‘ve been a bit busy to do so but had thought of using the tubes forum because most of the traffic for tube preamps seems to there. A dedicated sub forum for tube preamps would clean it all up And get me posting again.
And the same can still be said about a dedicated Horn speakers sub forum, still well overdue. Not sure why there's reluctance.

Only the owner of the site knows if it's easy or lucrative to make a new section in the forum.I only tried to tell about the logic aspect of it as I see it...It would make sense to have a tube preamp section when we have lots of tube preamp projects scattered in unnatural places . Somehow it's like having a recessive or dominant gene like blue eyes or red hair puting you in a social environment where actually the education is the one making the games. We don't pass a MIT exam for being blonde or brunette.

- Why don't we have a Tube preamplifiers section?
