Why don't people like to open PDF Files?

But I've yet to have a problem with a pdf. Others at time raise suspicion.
Donate those to the junk file.😱

They have some pretty slick apps for your phone that will scan text from a picture you take. Microsoft Lens worked for me.

I use Norton anti virus and havent had any problems for years.

I sometimes rip audio from youtube and the number of viruses in the conversion websites is a lot.

Install the "Video Download Helper" extension in Firefox. You can tell it to just download the audio from the stream and convert it all on the fly. Simple, fast, effective, zero virus risk.

As others have said, allowing scripts to run in a pdf when using acrobat used to be a popular way to catch a virus, so change to a non-adobe pdf reader, turn off scripts and it is easy to avoid the issue. The easier way to avoid the issue is to turn of scripting for anything but the site you are visiting, that stops way more attacks these days. No-script or equivalent for peace of mind when browsing.
