Why am I being moderated ?

I've been a member on diy for a long time, a lifetime for many of you young uns.
After an absence I've come back.
Why am I under moderation ?
I can understand new members being guided.

You shouldn't be now, but you may have been if you returned to the site after an extended break and needed to reverify your account?

It was likely the forum upgrade. For security reasons inactive users are asked to re-verify their accounts.

Thank you for the bug report. This is interesting. When you need to re-verify the system does put members into probation, but they should be taken out again after they verify. Let me look further into this. Should not be happening.

@exurbia This issue should now be resolved for you.

It seems there are some weird edge cases going on, you should not have been in the moderation group.

Hi Jason,
It's been a long time since our first exchange.
That would have been 99-2000 ish, I'd just become an adult uni student.
If you can sort this out that'll be great.
I promise I'll never start another George Bush, "madman or idiot" thread or similar.
