Is da bass animal, buy with confidence ....I have another question:
I was searching on the net and found the Scanspeak Revelator 18W/8531G00 7″ Midwoofer.
Does the "midwoofer" designation mean that this driver is not able to reproduce low-bass frequencies?
Do I have to search for one listed as WOOFER, not MIDWOOFER?
Thanks.

If you look for a replacement "Grand Piano" woofer, these are "tuned" with an extra magnet. Also, there seem to be two with a larger magnet. You should specify what you really need.
Best way to find a match is to measure a working woofer. The extra magnet's position should be marked, then removed for measuring. If this is a stock driver, you can transfer the magnet from the defective woofer to the new one. Anyway, this is OT, maybe open a new thread for your problem.

regarding 2nd magnet : Situation not exactly defined!
Is the 2nd magnet (partly) magnetized?
Glued? Which glue? Can be nearly impossible to remove!
2nd magnet orientation : in repellent mode or attractive mode? (in attractive mode the resultant B-field in the air gap is lower than without 2nd "booster" magnet)
Hint : In repellent mode it is not possible at a later point in time , to re-magnetize the 2nd magnet! (to get the same gain in B-field in the air gap)
Magnetix can be tricky!
