Who else is gaining weight?

I just bought a treadmill as soon as the lock down here was announced. Blood pressure down, pulse rate down during excercise and belt a notch tighter, but weight the same.

Actually do a bit on it usually twice a day watching the TV morning and evening news. However the news seems to be the same every day.
 
I'm normally a little over 50Kg, and I don't even want to know what it is now. When I'm home all day, especially sitting through endless zoom lectures, I have a bad habit of skipping meals, which is generally the last thing I should be doing.

I'm hoping that once classes are finished I'll have time to start riding again. I don't know how some people do it- I've been pretty sedentary for the last month or so and I feel like a garbage dump as a result. This week was especially murderous, I had a couple days where I was in the same chair for almost 12 hours straight.
 
Speaking of cookies, I picked up some cranberry walnut on sale at walmart, which inspired me to look on the internet for a recipe. Dispensing with the 1 cup white sugar, but adding 1/4 cup to the brown (bringing it up to 1 cup) made the batch palatable - versus the standard sickenly sweet OEM bake shop formula.

We happened to have a silicone 2" 6 muffin baking er, apparatus so I loaded 1/4 cup of the resultant stuff into each. Like cookie dough muffins! My wife suggested stirring in apple pieces for the next go, so I did and that resulted in even better flavor. Blew her and the 15 year old boy away - they could not believe I was capable of crafting them from scratch, baking without ruining.

Last time I smoked that stuff is, uh, I, uh ya, uh, what was the question again? Seriously Gimp, not enough active brain cells to do that. So many years years ago. You have to consider that in these parts, when they said it was mind blowing, they meant it.

I knew someone like that at school. He grew about 3" from 18 to 20. Whereas I stopped at 14 despite having feet that suggested (on the puppy principle) I should have gone on a bit longer.

I was 5'3", 105 lbs (1.60 m, 47.7) starting HS, so 14 years old. Grew 9"/13cm in 3 years and gained ~50 lbs/22 kg in 3 years. My poor mother. I'm otherwise in the same camp as Mr. Darwin with 32/34 pants since the end of HS. I am a bit younger however, so there's still time. 🙂

And I've decided on a rapid weight loss program of getting shingles! 2 days of not keeping a thing down does a number. Not recommended however. Zofran is again a wonder drug for me.
 
I've been lifting weights with my bench in the sweet spot of my stereo and jogging at off hours.

The super-market is around a 500M walk from my place, so I walk to do the shopping, carry one bag in each hand on the way home and do reps with them whilst I walk home. probably on average only 5 - 8 kg each bag depending on what I have bought. I figure it's better than nothing 🙂

I've kept the weight off I've lost and am still loosing weight and somewhere around 0.5 - 0.6kg a week. The key seems to have something to do with being hungry most of the time.

Have to keep distracted then you don't notice how hungry you are, in the past two weeks I have done 3 PCB layouts and am building up boards for testing and also ordering materials to finish a couple of prototypes.

I'm also working full time from home, and walk nearly every day. Will pass on that today since we're having a polar vortex event here at the moment, cold, wet and gray.
 
Bmi chart says I am well overweight

About 15 years ago I was quite muscular. My BMI put me well into the "obese" range (207 Lbs and 71 inches.) The company health insurance administrators office called me several times wanting me to go on a weight management program. The spreadsheet pushers had no clue, and did not understand what a bodyfat % measurement was, much less what a good number was. I asked them to call any of the doctors I went to, or the company run gym that they paid for. They never did, but they called me every month or two asking me to sign up.

After laughing a few times, then telling them where to go, they started calling my wife. She asked if she could go in my place, but they didn't go for it.
