Who else has 3 or 4 projects All on the go at once?

It's been a bit hectic in the shed since I decided to give skiing away. If you think building speakers is expensive try skiing in Australia.
Anyway I just counted up what I am doing and I think I need a bigger workbench.
I have a RoadKill set I am testing to determine real world power handling; now playing Chill-Out annual 3 non stop.
I need new bedroom speakers and i am cutting wood for a small 3-Way
I have 2 big cardboard boxes set up as well. One a Bloody Big Box; again a 3-Way and a smaller 3-Way using the recently purchased Peerless dome and in the back of my mind is changing the small box to a big 4-Way.
Although I am having fun I probably start more projects than I'll ever finish.
Anybody else have a similar affliction?

I presume water skiing, so other than the boat and all that implies, which in my time a group of us 'shared' it, what's so expensive 'Down Under'?

Can't find 'Chill-Out annual 3', only these, so any close?

Sad to say, yes, a house, garage, shop full for a variety of good reasons going on 32 yrs now.

Thanks!

Snow? Definitely more expensive than water here. Learn something new everyday! Had to go look at a map; strange associating my sweltering hot/sticky/flying bug infested Summer as prime snow skiing!

Yes, I've known quite a few raised here that moved to cooler climes, but only 'know' Australia from long ago auto racing reports and Crocodile Dundee films and at this late date don't remember any snow in them.

I tend toward multiple different projects at the same time, but usually only 1 is specifically audio-related (and not particularly devoted to loudspeakers either). Sometimes I've got some overlap with audio projects as I do now: finish improved dual-channel "filter" for test mic. and start-into in-wall test baffle. I'm postponing the "filter" until I decide on wire/shield/connectors and I'll be starting-into the test baffle soon because my previous project (installing wiring for a garage 220 and 110 outlets) required removing sheet-rock from the wall (which will need to be replaced): the test baffle will also require sheet-rock alterations so it's a good time to start into that (..well, after I finish my current project of stump removal from my yard). I have also purchased some drivers in prep. for some projects (..but I need to get the test setup back up and running again "new and improved" to even start on them).

(..yeah, I was also thinking that skiing in Australia was so expensive because it required a round-trip ticket to New Zealand.)

Definitely 🙂 On one hand I want my projects to proceed fast, I just ordered crossover components for a 3-way. And then I'm afraid that if the crossover is finished, there is not much to work on so I started working on a set of desk speakers. In reality, the crossover of the 3-way is far from finished.

My biggest "problem" is that I only build one speaker to start with, and when it's completely finished and I'm satisfied with it, I'll build the second one. I have many lonely enclosures 🤣

Yes, i can think of at least 4 speaker projects in the works:
1/ microTower II clone XO
2/ change midTweeter om Facets to Alpair 5.3 and figure out an XO
3/ mount drivers into deciSize miniOnken with CHBW70 2-way and build XO.
4/ repurpose a set of AudioNote boxes to a bipole WAW with Coral woofers and W3-871eN up top and an XO.

and then i have some 4 preamps need some attention.

Pictures or it didn’t happen…

Multiple speakers are the same time.

AC/DC? Or ADHD?

Skiing is expensive in Australia because it is the driest continent on Earth…

I spent a year in British Columbia where water is literally free… it’s part of the “sewerage and utilities” bill, and electricity is next to free, because 95% of it is powered by hydroelectricity… which they’ve had for about 100 years, because you guessed it… it rains cats and dogs almost 9 months a year.

We took the kids skiing each and every weekend for months at a time, because the slopes are about 30 mins from downtown… you’ll cry if you knew how little it costs and how awesome the snow is. And you don’t need to go to Whistler, as a local you just go to one of the local mountains like Seymour.

Canada has over 150 mountains higher than Mt. Kosciuszko. It’s about supply and demand.

It’s like going out for Japanese food in Australia after you’ve lived in Tokyo.

Kinda pales in comparison, and you need to avoid it for sometime to… re-adjust your expectations.

Many projects for sure. One thing is ongoing stuff actually started another one is planned/ideas. I recently bought a house and plan new setups all over: main living room is too big for my old Tannoy 6” floorstanders so I figure I build something larger, there’s a basement where I plan to build a home cinema type of thing with monster speakers and subs, and then there is a studio where I currently have various started projects ongoing already including large coaxials fullrangers and 3-way monkey coffin stuff ie tons of fun prototyping - planning also going DSP/active here. So yes a lot. In the studio at least there is sound now enjoyable too. Upstairs living room is of no urgency with the current traditional hifi I might just build a small sub. And basement needs total refurbing of walls and floors and install a nice fireplace before I can do any audio/HT. Long way ahead so most of the projects are currently in my head only besides the studio stuff. And then there’s snowboard season soon no time for DIY.
