I've just not seen one, so I thought I'd ask. Are there any pictures of these as I've only seen backloaded Lowthers & Fostex (with a whizzer, anyway). I'm think 160-200Hz, so about 2 feet in depth...
Sorry, couldn't resist since they litter the FR and HE forums, making them hard to miss. Anyway, I knew their proponents would post some good info. That said, they're not easy to get right, with the Azurahorn being the only one I'd recommend based solely on published design info.
To get good treble with an 8" one needs either a low voice coil inductance or a whizzer. To be suitable for horn loading a driver needs a strong motor (high Bl, not so easily achievable with low voice coil inductance). The Ciare HX201 (Bl 6.1, Qts 0.34 according to HH) is a compromise that should work more or less in FLH, but I wouldn`t use it BLH.
