Which would you choose?

Lets say you wanted to build a 2 way and you could choose any tweeter and any woofer made by:
Vifa
Seas
Scan-Speak
Morel
Audax
or Peerless

Which drivers would you choose, and why. Also, if you read this and your choices are already mentioned, please throw in a "me too". Im trying to see if their is a favorite tweeter, and favorite woofer combination amongst us!

If I had to build a two way system, the drivers
I choose aren't from the companies you list.
I prefer better sonics - LOL

Tweeter choices in order of preference;

1. Stage Accompany SA8535
http://www.stageaccompany.com/cdload.html
These tweeters rule! $600 each.

2. SLS PRD1000
http://www.slsloudspeakers.com/
SA8535 "clone", people say that SLS
doesn't sell individual drivers to the public - doh!

3. ESg3 (or Esg2)
http://www.e-speakers.com/products/ESg-ribbon.html
If the above two choices are not options,
by process of elimination, you have no choice
but to consider this one - LOL

4. Raven 2.0
http://www.e-speakers.com/products/raven-tweeters.html

Woofer choices;

1. Lambda TD15 series (M series = midrange only)
(Apollo version if you want to run >500 watts)
Everyone that buys TD series, 12" or 15"
are amazed on the sonics, my best description is
"the best bass/midbass/midrange combo driver"
than is available on the market, perfect for 2 way,
great for 3 way.

For a 3 way system, insert almost any PHL midrange...

P.S. I have five SA drivers, need three more.
Next month, I will have a total of eight TD15's...
Next summer, my project begins construction..........

Bad news: Lambda Acoustics closing it's doors next
year, all the woofers are on sale..

The Lambda TD15 series is on sale for $179 (down from
$259, factory direct sales), if you seek a smaller woofer,
the TD12 are good too.

These woofers sound awesome running full range
or any crossover frequency. They were designed as a
wide band woofer. Finding a matching tweeter is easy.
Get an above average sensitivity dome, cross the system over at 2khz give or take.

Here's a 3 way system using Lambda, Raven 1, and
unknown midrange, maybe PHL or Audax. This
particular link has been circulating around the internet - hehe
Nice speaker design recipe.......

I would go Seas Excel drivers all the way depending on your budget these can get quite expensive. For a woofer and tweeter around $400-$600 Aussie. I have the Odin kit from Seas and they are the clearest in the mid, treble and bass than any other speaker i have listened to before. They also love power but can be driven from a small amp as well.

Have fun hunting.

I agree, I built the Seas Thor TL kit, which uses the same drivers as Odin. I love tne sound of these speakers! If you don't need speakers with more then 89db efficiency, then I would go with something similar to the drivers in these kits.
