Hi there, can anyone please help me.I want to buy a home projector, my money is tight, I have hunted the web for cheap items, I have found 3: Hitachi PJTX300, SANYO PLV-Z5, and OPTOMA HD70, can anyone plese shed some light on which one I should go for, im blinded by the image contrast ratio, also by the lamp life, etc etc. This ammout of money to me is LARGE, so I dont want to make the wrong choice.I know there will be pros and cons to all of them, but if someone could help point me in the right direction, then that would be great.Thanking you all in anticipation for your time to read this posting, and hopefull replies,Take care. Stephen
I hope you went with the Sanyo. The Optoma will give you a nice picture but the Sanyo is a better unit and clear step up.
If money is tight I would look into cost of replacement lamps. Projectors are a lot like printers with ink. You can almost buy a new one for the cost of the lamp. Average cost of a replacement lamp is $400.00.
Good luck. look at the evo on lumenlabs website.
