I've just negotiated a small deal with Birmingham alluminium.com. They will sell me 6 x 150mm cuts of 1850HS Heatsink extrusion. Blah Blah, this is 250mm Wide x 150mm Long x 83mm High. This equates to 0.28K/Watt (In Black) and will keep an Aleph 4 at about 55 C. They will cost me about £40 each incl. P&P. I haven't managed to do better than that in the UK.
Anyone short of IRFP244's. I bought 50 for matching purposes only to find that they were all from the same batch. Every one that I have tested so far has Vgs at 400mA within 0.05V of each other. Nelson himself recommends 0.1V so these are all matched together.
Please note I've only tested 13 of them so far - unlucky for some, but so far they are all matching well.
