In many of the crossover designs for loudspeakers, the types of resistors are not specified. I've been curious about where non-inductive resistors and regular wire-wound resistors are used? Could anyone let me know about this? Many thanks in advance.

ONLY non-inductive resistors should be used in crossovers, otherwise their inductance will vary crossover parameters.
Standard wire-wound resistors are only used where a little inductance doesn't really matter eg. power applications.
cheers
