HI guys. Im building my first PLY pair of SS15s. after having much success with the SS15made of MDF and running (of all things) a car sub on an active amp module.
So, my question is this, my tops are filled with Delta 12a drivers, and they can quite comfortably run down to 125hz (ish) whilst maintaining excellent volume, obvioulsy if I can cross them slightly higher they can go much louder, so Im looking to fill the gap in response from the SS15 >100hz approx, to the Delta12 200>
so the two im tossing up between are, the LaScala horn
<meta name="description" content="Klipsch audio systems provide the true audio/video lover a wide variety of high performance loudspeakers and loudspeaker systems for music and home theater entertainment centers, including iPod speakers, multimedia s
or
ES18BPH
or this,
Speakerplans.com
so out of those three, am i correct to say that the LS will have the most useful output range? or will they all be fairly similar? (note, im looking at using just the 15inch woofer, no tweeter/hi range driver)
any help will be appreciated.

Give the HD15 a -3dB dip centered at 120hz and it's basically flat from 80hz to 220hz which is exactly what you need. The HD15 being, not a horn as some people think but a flared bandpass cab is also the most compact and lightest so that'd be my preference.
ok, in that case, does it matter if the curved section is segmented instead of smooth? as in, could i just put a two or three section panel in there with an approximately similar shape or will it affect the sound?

Look in the HD15 thread on the speakerplans forum. It will not matter terribly much but it's not as difficult to make the curved bit as it might appear. Advises on how on the forum as well.
