which comes first, the notch or the low-pass ???

Does it make any difference if a coil (1st order low-pass) comes before or after a series notch filter?

I noticed the Hammer Dynamics Super 12 crossover has the coil first in the construction manual, but in the pair of Super 12's reviewed by Dick Olsher (EnjoyTheMusic.com) the coil is after the notch.

If components are in series, the order makes no difference, so you can put the notch filter before or after the inductor. This does not apply to higher order filters!
